At its multiple locations across Southern Florida, Sergio’s Catering celebrates the fusion of Cuban, Latin, and American cuisine. They combine family recipes with traditional cultural dishes to produce one-of-a-kind homemade coffees, pastries, and comfort food. Their greatest desire is to welcome their customers into the heart of their restaurant, and into the soul of their family. To do so, they must keep their ingredients fresh, wholesome, and delicious.
Sergio’s Catering needed a cost-effective method to monitor refrigeration temperatures in their facilities to ensure compliance and assure the quality of their ingredients. They understood that with a large quantity of food constantly in their refrigeration units, unforeseen problems with temperature regulation could lead to a huge loss in inventory and possibly food-borne illnesses. We installed our IoT in a Box system at Sergio’s many stores so that they could effectively observe their refrigeration units while keeping costs low.
